We encountered some monkeys on our way up to Vulture's Peak, Gridhakutha, in Rajgir. Heather bought some butter cookies and the monkeys came right up to us and took the cookies from our hands.
Seeing how easily they snatched the cookies from our hands without touching our hands, I can more easily believe a story like the one where a monkey gave some honey/honeycomb to the Buddha.
