This afternoon, I traveled with Yves, a French kite photographer, and Deepak to Bihar Sharif. On the way we stopped at a shrine that could possibly be an unexcavated stupa. The local children swarmed around us wanting their pictures taken.
At the venue, we spotted a wonderful exhibition with Yves aerial photos, Deepak's photos, and Alok's photos of the Buddhist heritage sites in and around Nalanda. Next to the "Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha" exhibit, was a stall with a Nepura weaver and beautiful woven silk.
With a short hike to the top of the hill, Yves started to fly his red kite. Once the kite was airborn, he attached a camera to the line and off it went into the air. Many, many men, boys, girls, and some women gathered around Yves to watch him fly his kite.
After some time, the District Magistrate arrived. Then school children began arriving to perform in the evenings show.
